Since 2020 I have been Project Coordinator and Child Protection/Safeguarding Lead for Elevator Arts CIC, a youth arts company that delivers life enhancing, transformative & empowering arts & drama projects with young people in Southend & South Essex. We work with communities experiencing disadvantage & multiple barriers to learning & inclusion.

As Safeguarding & Child Protection Lead, my role encompasses all things Pastoral & Wellbeing, ensuring that the young people we work with are welcomed to be creative within a safe environment in which their wellbeing and safety is of paramount importance. This includes (but is not limited to) regular safeguarding training, being the chief safeguarding reporter, regular continued training in the management of vulnerable young people and those with additional needs.

As Project Coordinator, I manage the administrative elements of the programmes which includes registration, post-programme communications and regular liaising with clients.

I have recently started developing my skills in Dramaturgy. I am fascinated by the way theatre works, and I enjoy picking the work apart in order to stitch it back together again.

My work as Dramaturg on Release included providing context for associate artists, additional research, clarifying timelines and narrative arcs.
